# About changing the proxy environment variable of containerd-env

In the case of a proxy environment that requires authentication, it is necessary to change the proxy environment variable according to the password change.

When containerd is restarted, the running container is restarted, so isn’t it possible to reload the proxy environment variable without restarting containerd?
