# Connect from pod to master

Hello, I have 1 master 1 worker and 1 pod (run nginx image). from the pod, I can ping 8.8.8.8, [google.com](http://google.com)… but I can’t ping the master node or other machines which in same subnet with master node. What should I do?

### Cluster information:

Kubernetes version: 1.18.2  
Cloud being used: bare-metal  
Host OS: ubuntu  
CNI and version: calico
