Containerized apps that have kernel loadable module dependencies

#1

Can Kubernetes handle containerized apps that have kernel loadable module dependencies? For example, high performance containerized network functions may require that hosts have specific network drivers. Is this allowed? Is it common?

It’s technically possible, but it requires extremely elevated
privileges and is somewhat antithetical to containers.

More common is to preconfigure some pool of nodes for this purpose and
taint them so only pods that want that will get it.
