Is it safe to grant the view role access to nodes? & follow-up q

I’m presuming the answer is yes, but in that case I’m wondering why doesn’t the view role grant access to nodes by default? Nodes are a important Kubernetes construct and I was surprised there was no view access. Maybe I should open a feature request for the Kubernetes maintainers?
