# MicroK8s 1.30 released!

[MicroK8s](https://microk8s.io/) is a Kubernetes cluster delivered as a single snap package - it can be installed on any Linux distribution which supports [snaps](https://snapcraft.io/). With a quick install, easy upgrades and great security, MicroK8s is perfect for micro clouds and edge computing. Try it on your laptop!

```auto

snap install microk8s --classic --channel=1.30/stable

```

### Dqlite stability

With the help of [@miro-balaz](https://github.com/miro-balaz) we identified and patched a few issued that improve the reliability of our default datastore in resource limiting environments.

- containerd to v1.6.28 and runc to v.1.1.12
- gpu-operator to v23.9.1

### New addon
