Say there are 20 apps with ten of them taking 100MB RAM, 0.2vCPU and the remaining with 200MB RAM, 0.4vCPU) respectively when there is no traffic and when there is traffic of 10K requests as expected peak load, if the usage of the above services is 150MB , 0.4vCPU and the other with 400MB RAM 0.6vCPU
But the traffic doesn’t peak for all the services all the time. Say the high traffic is expected to go high only in 4 apps (specified with 200MB RAM).
I have given our apps usage scenario with hypothetical numbers to reflect our issues. You can modify and give us better version if necessary.
How many nodes should we use and how much resources should be allocated to each pod?
