K8s Master Node 1 year cert expire problem

Cluster information:

Kubernetes version: 1.17
Cloud being used: (put bare-metal if not on a public cloud)
Installation method: On-Prem VM in ESX Server
Host OS: CentOS 7.x
CNI and version:calico/node:v3.15.0
CRI and version:

Has the 1 year valid certificate problem of K8s been resolved in the next versions? Could you please share this information?

Was this done with kubeadm?

If yes, the certs will renew each time you update the cluster. Their default duration is for 1 year.
