Kubernetes On Premise Expose using External IP

Hi, I have an issue when try to expose my service to external. Ingress controller cannot get ip and load balancer external IP is pending.

Hello. I’ve just ask for this same problem and found a good solution:

On premise: Can not understand how external ips works

Service Type LoadBalancer requires some form of external provider to map external IPs to services. When deploying in a cloud provider, this is usually a provisioned external Load Balancer (e.g. AWS ELB). For on-prem deployments, options are somewhat limited. A good option is metalLB which can manage an external IP pool via BGP or layer2 (ARP). We’ve used it in production for some time with no problems

Happy to see the message that metalLB is working for you

I am struggling here, like metalLB is failing to allocate a IP to Ingress controller. Always the “External IP” column shows as PENDING

I am using layer2

Could you please assist
