The recommendation for Ubuntu should be 24.04 and 22.04. Ubuntu 20.04 will soon be EoL in April 2025 but can stay for the time being if desired.
Proposed change below.
- An Ubuntu 24.04 LTS or 22.04 LTS environment to run the commands (or another operating system which supports
snapd- see the snapd documentation). If you don’t have a Linux machine, you can use Multipass (see Installing MicroK8s with Multipass).
