Cleanup unused containerd images

I installed MicroK8s on my Ubuntu 22.04 LTS.
Over some weeks of using it, I notice that the disk space is reduced over time; although the number of applications that I deployed in MicroK8s is not increased.

This is the disk usage for my PC:

I also used the command “microk8s ctr image list” to list up the containerd images, there are many of them. including tagged image (under using) and untagged images (seem not under using).

Does microk8s or ctr provide any command for clean up these untagged images?

Hi vusd:

This seem to be something you may be interested in MicroK8s images prune utility for production servers

Disclaminer: I haven’t tested it myself; just found it searching for a solution to your question.
